New Contract – Bulk-General Cargo Carrier, 10800 dwt for Berge Rederi AS

The vessel will be a highly efficient, 10800 dwt self-loading/discharging type bulk/general cargo vessel and includes innovative and sustainable zero emission solutions. The vessel is prepared for a large battery plant and hybrid propulsion with zero emissions, and for fitting of two rotorsails and future alternative fuels and fuel cell powering.

Cargo operations will be powered electrically and emission free.

The vessel efficiency, solutions, utilization and overall performance results in an highly efficient and low consumption vessel and with excellent EEDI/EEXI and CII ratings.

The newbuilding will be yard no. SH111 at Dayang Offshore Engineering Co. Ltd., and is scheduled to be delivered end 2025.  

The design has been developed in close cooperation between Berge Rederi AS and MDC.
